The production team
Aside from the site there is a huge amount of organisation that has to be done to make Strawberry fair happen from September the year before the fair right up to the month after the fair sometimes it feels like a full time job. We have an excellent team but are always looking for more people to help out.
Production deals with everything from making sure people are fed, through all the press releases and the website, legal stuff that is mind boggling to some but comes easily to others. We would love organised people to give us a shout.
Before the fair we have a rolling goliath of stuff to do throughout the year all of which is incredible experience for those involved. There are a least five verifiable individuals who will put the fact that they worked with the fair down to them later achieving a job well above their punching weight.
These jobs include, press secretary, website manager, legal boffin, promotions co-ordinator, stalls co-ordinator, merchandise co-ordinator and loads of other roles. We always need people to help out and take on the work, the more people we have the better we can make the fair.
The faces of production are:
-
Jo Scott.
Jo doesnt have a job title as such but is a mega-organised person with stacks of experience and knows most of what there is to know about our production and event related legal issues.
-
Rob Piggot, Stalls Co-ordinator.
A new boy to the fair this year, Rob has taken on the job of keeping check of the most paper heavy part of Strawberry Fair, and he is doing a sterling job.
-
Justin, Chair of Policy and Community.
Justin has been with the fair for five years and in his current role oversees the press, promotion and merchandising side of the fair in the lead up to the event.
