The Strawberry Fair Committee has just had its final debrief for the 2008 Fair and the general response from everyone involved is that despite the weather, this was the best Strawberry Fair EVER, So many many thanks to the 1200+ local volunteers who work so hard to put it together and many more thanks to the 1000 odd artists and performers who make the fair the vibrant community brilliance that has made us Cambridges most popular event. "It's Your Fair, Play Fair" a success

Chair of Strawberry Fair, Martin Twiss is delighted with peoples response to the requests laid out in campaign, It's your Fair, Play Fair. He thanks them for not camping and being so understanding, "Without this reaction the future of the Fair was in question, now that we have seen such a positive response from people who have previously camped, I am happy we will see many more years of the Fair"

Introduction to the Fair

For those who missed it...

Strawberry fair is a free, one-day arts and crafts festival in the center of Cambridge, UK. This year fair was on Saturday June 6th, 2009.

Our website aims to show you around the fair and introduces to you its volunteers. Take a look around and find out what's happening at this year's event, and maybe even how you can help make it happen...

The fair is run and paid for, not by the council, but through the dedicated efforts of ordinary, unelected and unpaid individuals. People not unlike me or you, in fact these people may well be you and me, depending on who is reading this blurb. Strawberry Fair is, after all, your festival, and you have every right to help make it happen. It is, in fact, ENCOURAGED.

It's your Fair, Play Fair.

Play Fair Logo

Strawberry Fair believes in being a good neighbour and so this year has launched a campaign to encourage visitors of the Fair to not only respect others whilst enjoying the entertainment but also those living nearby Midsummer Common. There's nothing revolutionary about what we're asking people to do, infact it's all about common sense. Find out more about the campaign by clicking here.
