The East Stage

Dominating the skyline in the east, this stage broadcasts a wild range of music across the fair and is definitely a focal point for the day and night. Music here varies from centre to leftfield through Goth, Punk, Reggae and out the side (somehow) to the world of electronic dance music.

The East Stage Operatives

  • Shaun Shaun, Area coordinator, Shaun has organised the East stage for many years and has been a character at the fair and the festival circuit generally for many years. He is known by his companions as a beer swilling layabout who swears a lot and never does anything useful. (Unsurprisingly this is untrue and not just because I value my spleen) - Justin.
  • TomJohn TomJohn, 2nd Area coordinator, TomJohn has been part of the fair for four years now and has proven be a credible asset. Known for his barking and jumping into lakes, he is an unpredictable man to be around.
  • Marcy Marcy, "back of house" manager; Marcy gave birth to a baby girl and has brought the child up the best way possible as a SF baby. Marcy's likes are bubbles and the "Back to the Future" films. Her dislikes are misuse of eagles and dysfunctional doorbells.
  • Justin Justin, Stage Manager, A useless buffoon who couldn't organise a prayer meeting amongst the twelve disciples. The east stage gave him this accolade purely to make him seem a bit more useful. It didn't work and his favourite phase to this day is, "What the hell am i doing?" Justin was spotted last year wearing a florescent pink tutu on stage, his mother has never looked at him since.
  • Ozzy Ozzy, Odd Job, As the title suggests, he does stuff including smoking cigarettes and drinking beer. Ozzy is another veteran of the Fair with so many years under his belt we don't know how old he is and where fair begins and Ozzy stops. Ozzy likes noodles and chips. He dislikes caribou.
  • Stef Stef, Best boy, Yes Stef is steadfast and strong, found on the plains of the Gobi desert trying to hunt tartars he was brought to the UK and forced to become a weirdo. A role he has made his own and is now East Stage's official weirdo.
